As dental awareness grows, more children are receiving treatment; however, dental anxiety is also on the rise. A study of 405 children in Hong Kong revealed that up to 33% experience significant dental fear.

This project focuses on alleviating dental anxiety in children by exploring innovative solutions to enhance their treatment experience, helping them approach and embrace necessary dental care with confidence.

This summer, a casual conversation with two friends about our childhood dental experiences turned into a spark of inspiration. What started as a brief exchange quickly evolved into a promising project idea, and we decided to explore the opportunity together. Within just a month, we developed a solution that was ultimately nominated for the UXDA. We were thrilled to see our idea take shape and become a recognized design proposal.
